Love God, Love People!

Matthew 22:36-40  “’Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?’  Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.  All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.’”

The two greatest commandments spell out, quite clearly, why we have been created.  We are here to love God and to love people.  The greatest way to love people is to show God’s love and share the Good News.  Worshiping God, and showing God’s love are the two benchmarks of this church.

We also have a commitment to each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.  We are called to meet together, and to rejoice when others rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.  There is a level of accountability we are called to as brothers and sisters in Christ as well.  So, another way we will love people is through.   In short, the vision of this church is to be a community where brothers and sisters in Christ can come to worship God, continually know God more intimately, show love to each other, and show God’s love to those who are searching to know God better.
